about

Inspired by The Beta Band - Dry The Rain and The Guess Who - American Woman, but obviously sounding like neither.

Featuring the Electro-Harmonix Satisfaction fuzz on the solo. That's a one trick pedal, but it's a good trick. A bit of digital delay, tremolo, and some overdrive too. Very muffled drums (intentionally). I quite like it.

Chords are B D A E (keyboard: B D/A A E/B), and G C Bb D.

lyrics

Looking out at the skyline
Doesn't matter much to me
As you write your last byline
The trophy cabinet of your dreams

Out there looking for something
They can never hope to define
See it poking through the shadows
In the corner of my mind

Falling down
I'm falling down
I'm falling down
Again

Broke the habit of a lifetime
But there was nothing left to lose
Always saying that I feel fine
But the headlines don't tell all the news

Three men ran into the corner
Heads of wire and bones full of glass
Set out west across the flatlands
No sea of flames just a gold sea of grass

Falling down
Still falling down
I'm falling down
Again

about

Tundra Cats Brighton, UK

Tundra Cats make the world inexorably better, like a perpetual present made up of one continually changing apocalypse. Or something like that. A very slack band.
